About Rotary

Rotary International is an organization of service clubs known as Rotary Clubs located all over the world. There are more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries, and there are over 1.2 million members world-wide.  The members of Rotary Clubs are known as Rotarians. The purpose of the organization is to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Your local Charles Town Rotary meets each Tuesday at Paul's Restaurant located inside Oakland United Methodist Church on Route 9.  We meet over lunch from 12:15PM to 1:15PM.  We welcome visitors and potential members.

Please note that Rotary is first and foremost a service organization.  This group differs greatly from networking groups such as BNI and others.

Rotary's best-known motto is "Service above Self", and its secondary motto is "They profit most who serve best".
